Ages 3-4
For Pre School ages, Flourish Children’s School offers a Montessori program that incorporates play-based learning. The goal of the Seedlings preschool is to introduce the age group to a warm and welcoming classroom environment. It is always a goal of Montessori education to make the child independent and be able to do things for himself or herself. The Seedlings room is set up for little explorers to discover and initiate tasks & activities on their own. The toddlers will engage in a variety of fun educational activities appropriate for their age that are aimed to plant a love for learning. Our daily program is designed to help small children discover new concepts and prepare them for Pre-Kinder.
Placement is based on age as of September 1st of each school year.
Our Preschool program includes:
Reoccurring creative & independent free play time throughout the day
A classroom environment that encourages exploration by placing books and toys at eye-level
A gentle but rich approach to literacy with frequent story-time, puppet theaters & asking/answering questions about stories we read
Dedicated time for Music and Movement with singing, clapping, stomping, etc.
Outdoor play-time for running and exploring using their imaginations
Emphasis on learning to share and making friends
