First - Second Grade: Orchids
Ages 6 – 8
Flourish Children’s School provides a combo program called Orchids for children between 6 and 8 years old. The 1st through 2nd grade classroom was developed for families who would like a customized education that meets early elementary standards but allows for one on one attention and plenty of opportunities to explore individual interests. Orchids has an emphasis on artistry, creativity and nature which is incorporated in their daily learning.
Our 1st- 2nd grade program includes:
Faith focused lessons that integrate bible studies, worship songs & prayer
Advanced addition and subtraction, multiplication, beginning geometry, graphing, time, measurement, and so much more
A combo class taught by level aimed to achieve reading fluency through structured literacy regardless of grade or native language
Beautiful integration of the arts; encouraging a love of poetry, nature, high character, and wholesome, powerful literature
Faith-based, non-denominational Christian approach; focused on very basic Biblical principles such as kindness and honesty
Focused instruction, allowing for shorter and more effective lessons and more independent work periods
Dual Language Immersion is a way to learn academic content while acquiring another language at the same time. Students receive language arts, math, science, and social studies instruction in the target language, either Spanish or English.
